Charbonneau Country Club

Charbonneau Country Club (CCC) is a homeowners association located in the Charbonneau district of Wilsonville, Oregon, just south of Portland. The association encompasses over 1500 residential homes, including single family homes, condominiums, townhomes, an assisted-living center, and apartments. Charbonneau is a planned-unit development with a 27-hole golf course, tennis club, commercial/business center, restaurant, and a variety of recreational facilities.

Every residential household within the Charbonneau district is a member of the Charbonneau Country Club. Members' assessments pay for the upkeep of a community clubhouse, landscaping of the main thoroughfare of the district, nightly security patrols, and other common area expenses. A monthly community newspaper, The Charbonneau Villager, is delivered to residents free of charge.

In addition to the CCC homeowner association, there are twelve smaller, individual homeowner associations or condominiums within the Charbonneau district. The largest has 258 residential properties and the smallest has six. Each association is responsible for the maintenance and care of neighborhood common areas, including swimming pools, water features such as fountains, and landscaping. Homeowners' assessments for these associations vary depending on the scope of the common areas and association services provided.

The Charbonneau Golf Club, Inc. is a separate corporation, owned by approximately 500 shareholders. For information about golf in Charbonneau, visit the Charbonneau Golf Club website: www.charbonneaugolfclub.com

The Charbonneau Country Club homeowners’ association is managed by a board of nine elected members. Board directors are involved in Club operations through various committees. Board directors or appointed residents chair standing committees which oversee the organization's operations.

The CCC business office provides administrative support services for the Board of Directors, committees, and residents of the community.

TriSports

Seton and Debbie Claggett started TriSports in Tucson, AZ in 1999. Working out of their home, they laid the foundation for what would become the largest online triathlon retailer in the United States. They've been dedicated to the community of multisport and endurance athletes ever since.

In 2009, Gary Wallesen and his partners took over Athletes Lounge in Portland, OR. Gary created a space that wasn't just a store--it was a training hub for local triathletes and a place to connect with each other. Gary hosted product demos, sponsored athletes, and held training sessions, carving out a space for the Pacific Northwest tri community to flourish.

Gary had watched TriSports's online operation for years, and knew he needed an online presence, but didn't have the resources to do it well. Through a meeting with the management team at Velotech, owners of Bike Tires Direct, the concept of AthletesLounge.com was created. A year later, Seton was forced to consider the possibility of closing TriSports as the company struggled with bank troubles. Seton and Gary connected in Portland and discussed their shared vision for the triathlon community--the best selection of gear offered through online retail, combined with a local home base and training resources. Velotech was able to acquire the TriSports brand and merge Athletes Lounge, and we hope to bring the same passion for sport, knowledge of product, and personalized attention that Seton and Debbie gave to the triathlon community.

Casa of Bastrop County

CASA volunteers are people like you. They’re teachers, business people, retirees, stay-at-home moms, grandparents, college students; extraordinary people who want to make certain the voices of abused and neglected children are heard.Contact us...CASA is a national volunteer movement that began more than 25 years ago, when Judge David Soukup in Seattle decided he needed to know more about the children whose lives were in his hands. His solution was to ask community volunteers to act as a "voice in court" for abused and neglected children. These Court Appointed Special Advocates™ (CASA) provided him with the detailed information he needed to safeguard the children's best interests and ensure that they were placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. The program was so successful that it was copied around the nation. The first CASA program established in Texas was Dallas CASA in 1980. During that decade, 14 CASA programs were started in Texas. In 1989, Texas CASA was formed as a result of a merger between the Texas Task Force on Permanency Planning and the Texas CASA network that was made up of the existing CASA programs in the state.Today, the CASA movement has evolved into one of the largest volunteer organizations in the country. In Texas, there are 69 local CASA programs with more than 6,600 volunteers serving nearly 21,000 foster children.
Texas CASA, Inc. advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system through the development, growth and support of local CASA programs in Texas. Texas CASA also advocates for foster children in the Texas Legislature.
